6/February/2011 - > Eric Bell on Gary Moore!

I met Gary first in Hollywood (about 6 miles from Belfast) His dad ran a club for bands to play in every Saturday Night. I played there one night with The Deltones and I had a treble booster (a little plastic box that gave you 3 times the volume) When Gary saw it he asked me could he try it at the end of the gig That's the first time I heard him play..he was 11 year's old and playing like someone of 26 or so. We would then go and watch each other play...He was a good friend, great confidence,and a great laugh sometimes. He was one of the most dedicated guitarist's I'm ever met...he was always playing..I would go down to see him sometimes in Brighton and stay a day or two,and every room had a guitar And as you would talk to him he would be playing. He Should be an inspiration to us all for his sheer energy and love for the guitar. God Be with You ,Gary. Eric.
